The Great Book Explorer

I love to read lots and lots of books and i am always looking for new books to read and books by authors that i never heard of before. I also love to read old books, like books that were published in the 90's. My favorite literary character of all time is sherlock holmes. Also one of my favorite books of all time is ''the secret garden'' by frances hodgson.

And the story continues
Butcher's hands - Ron; Ripley

This is book 3 in the series and it was just as exciting as the previous book. Abel worthe has yet again added a new ghost, new structure, and new subject to the village. While trio is meeting the newest subject and figuring out their next move, there is a lot going on behind the scenes that they are unaware of. As abel worthe's experiment continues, his once well disciplined and dedicated staff is falling apart as there seems to be a loss in order and staff start taking matters into their own hands. With every battle and ghost the subjects face, you really get to see their strength and resiliency. As I'm reading i keep wondering just how much more can these characters take. This book will have you on the edge of your seat while rooting for the people trapped in the experiment to succeed.

Review Enjoyable read

A young Girl in the prime of her life with her whole future ahead of her gets murdered in a small lakeshore town when visiting relatives for the summer. Unable to let go of the life she once had and wanting answers to why she was killed, lily remains an earthbound spirit searching for her Killers.

A murder mystery with a bit of a paranormal twist, this was an enjoyable read. Where in most murder mysteries the story is told from the point of view of who is trying to solve the crime, in this story we get to see from the victims point of view and watch as she seeks justice.

I liked the small town feel as well as the different characters that often spent time at the shorebird, a place where people liked to go to eat, drink, and catch up on all the local gossip. When news of lily's death hits the news you really get to just how close knit the town is. I recommend this book if: you like murder mysteries, stories set in small towns, stories with a paranormal twist.
horror for young readers

This book has just the right amount of horror and creep factor for young readers without being too scary for them. It's a short story with lots of illustrations. I enjoyed the story and the way it ended left me with questions about what happened to the main character and her father. This story gave me creepshow (tv series) vibes but a more kid friendly version. I recommend this book for any young reader who likes the horror genre, fans of r.l stine.

Highly recommend
Girls With Sharp Sticks - Suzanne Young

This book is amazing. I loved the boarding school type setting and the friendship and close bond that the girls have formed. I thought the beginning of the story was strange and the things the girls were being taught and how everyone seemed to just accept it. But then slowly they begin to question things and then all hell breaks loose. The twist towards the end made my jaw drop, i was definitely not expecting the story to go that way. I just have to read the next book in this series to see what happens next.

I highly recommend this book.

New cozy mystery

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

Emory's life has been turned upside down. First her husband cheats on her with her best Friend, then she loses her job. Just when things can't seem to get any worse, emory finds herself being suspected of murder. Can Emory clear her name before its too late or has she baked her last cupcake?

I enjoyed reading this book so much. It's a cozy mystery or a culinary cozy mystery because of the frequent mention of baking, cakes, cooking and cupcakes. Not to mention the great recipes for you to try at home at the end of the book.

It really had me guessing until the end as i tried to guess who the murderer was. This book is as entertaining as it is delicious. I highly recommend this book. I recommend this book to anyone who: likes cozy mysteries, culinary cozy mysteries, or just likes a good mystery that keeps you guessing.

Hell's hammer - Ron; Ripley

This book two in the haunted village series. Abel worthe's sick experiment continues on in the village but now there are two new subjects - a married couple who are brought to this village of the dead and a new threat, the ghost of a vicious serial killer whose weapon of choice is a mason's hammer. Will the subjects survive? Or will they become the new ghost next victim?

This book was very well written you can tell that the author put a lot of time and effort into his writing. There's a great cast of characters and you slowly get to learn a little more about them as the story continues. You get to learn a bit of abel worthe's past and sort of get an idea as to why he's doing this crazy experiment. Marcus and Alex have formed quite a strong bond and i feel like you really get to see that in this book.I found it crazy that one of worthe's employees actually seemed to believe in what abel worthe was doing and made me think that maybe he's just as crazy as abel worthe himself. There is however an employee who doesn't agree with with what abel worthe is doing.

I enjoyed reading this book, there were some things that happened in the book that really took me ny surprise. I highly recommend this book.

I recommend this book to: anyone who loves a good very dark horror story, if you like stories with malevolent ghosts.

T.W: for violence, blood,and gore.
